The caravan passed through the small village of Nowhere. It seems the village had suffered the last few years as the path of the Aganhei was less travelled due to the dearth of suitable caravan guides. The locals were very welcoming (or suspicious), with a local merchant who called himself Jason (or James) helping Sandru do a roaring trade and then taking a cut for himself. Jason then spent all his recently earn’t gold on some “Trollbane” from the local ‘healer’ to pay for his passage on Sandru’s caravan.
The local rumours were that their were trolls on the east side of the river and wolves on the west side. The caravan decided that wolves would be safer than trolls, in the off-chance that the “Trollbane” didn’t prove effective. Jason was nearly thrown to the wolves, but in a change of heart Sandru made him the caravan manager so he could focus on playing his flute.
Travelling on the west side of the river, the caravan was struck by a pack of winter wolves one snowy evening. Fortunately the bulk of the pack was scared off by the magical display of fire and noise by Ignatius and Sandru. The two remaining wolves were blinded with a pyrotechnic display. Meanwhile Traftar transformed into a Diretiger and mauled one wolf. Youxian joined the fight on horseback and lanced the other one.
After that excitement the rest of the journey to Turvik passed without event.
