The unexplored shipwrecks in the nearby swamp are not as interesting as the mystery of the settlement of distance Brinewall, did Ameiko’s family truly come from there, what happened to them?
Sandru marshals his friends and allies into readying the caravan for a journey to Brinewall. The fire-damaged wagons are repaired and a new covered wagon purchased.
Trade goods (glass, noble clothing, and trinkets), repair materials and food supplies are purchased, while drivers’ cooks and wainwrights are hired.
The hired caravan guide Rostip sets them on their path towards Brinewall.
After one false start (with the provisions left behind) the caravan finally rolls out of Sandpoint and heads North towards their first trading stop of Windsong Abbey.
One of the new drivers, Hirohito, seems to have trouble controlling his wagon, and breaks a wheel on the first day. He has similar troubles the second day. The third day brought a summer storm. Finally after five days they arrive at the abbey, already two days behind schedule.
Sandru spends many hours going over his supplies, and money books and realized he is bleeding gold. The delays are (literally) eating into any profit he makes selling glass to the nuns of Windsong Abbey.
